Bradley’s Catering: BY BREANNE GEORGE Masterpiece Menus for Your Wedding
From the taste to the presentation, food is typically the most talked about aspect of a wedding. Understanding the importance food plays at your wedding, Bradley’s Cater- ing is passionate about creating high quality, personally tailored menus that will have your guests raving for years to come. With more than 20 years of experience, Bradley’s Cater- ing has the knowledge, talent and vision to take your wedding to the next level.
“We are known for creating amazing, restaurant-style food for large-scale events, which is no easy feat,” explains Brian Hurtt, managing partner at Bradley’s Catering. “Our goal is to create delicious, fresh
and beautifully presented food, whether your wedding is held in a hotel ballroom, a historic venue or the middle of a meadow.”
Creative Catering
Bradley’s Catering can cater a
wedding at any venue where
catering is permitted in North-
east Ohio. Known for their
custom menus, the Fairlawn-
based caterer has the flexibil-
ity to create virtually any kind
of food desired. Some high-
lights of a plated menu include
duet of braised short ribs and herb-crusted chicken on sweet
corn cakes with roasted autumn vegetables and hand-carved
strip steak with caramelized onions and port wine reduction.
Scrumptious and artfully presented, hand-passed hors d’oeuvres include water- melon and feta cheese cubes with fresh mint and balsamic syrup; pot roast-stuffed baby red potatoes; lobster salad profiterole; and curried chicken salad on raisin toast point. Chefs also create delightful desserts such as tartlets with fresh berries, petit fours (tiny layered cakes), cheesecakes and chocolate- covered seasonal berries.
“Based on seasonality and the latest food trends, our menus are constantly changing,” Hurtt says. “For every wedding, we create a
unique menu based on the bride and groom’s tastes and preferences as well as the theme of the wedding.”
From food stations to elegant plated din- ners, chefs have the creativity to think out- side the box in regard to the food and how it will be served. For example, a recent summer wedding featured a sweet corn station complete with grilled corn-on-the-cob and a variety of gourmet butters and season- ing. Another wedding featured a made-to- order pasta station where guests choose from a variety of pastas, ingredients and sauces. “We always present a bride with
style architecture, travertine tile floors, and arched windows that fill the room with natu- ral light. An adjacent outdoor patio, over- looking majestic trees and an expansive three-acre green lawn, is perfect for smaller receptions, ceremonies and cocktail hour in the warm weather months.
From Flowers to Table Linens
Bradley’s Catering is the catering side of the company Savoir-Faire, which offers floral and event planning services. Savoir-Faire’s staff has extensive knowledge of room setup, floral, table linens, design concepts and all
aspects of the planning process. “If a bride chooses, she can liter- ally plan her entire wedding day through us,” Hurtt says. “Our three-pronged team is uniquely qualified to handle each of these major elements of a wedding.”
Founder Bradley Plaster started Savoir-Faire in June 2011. Prior to this venture, he owned a flower shop at Fire- stone Park in Akron. “One of his clients at the time said to him, “If you catered food as well as you design flowers, I would have you cater my event in a second,” Hurtt notes. Not long after this conversation, Plaster launched his catering business in 1991, and he has been catering events
throughout Northeast Ohio ever since.
Guiding Brides
According to Hurtt, the company’s exten- sive experience in catering, event planning and floral is what sets them apart. From deli- cious food to artistic presentation, Bradley’s Catering is dedicated to creating a special experience for every wedding. “A couple only gets married once, and it is our job to guide them through the unique challenges of the planning process,” Hurtt says. “Often times, a bride has ideas in mind, but isn’t sure how those ideas will work in reality. We’re here to help her reach the finish line.” §
different options for serving the food and presentation that will work best for her reception,” Hurtt says.
The Cedars
In addition to catering, Bradley’s Catering offers a beautiful venue for ceremonies and receptions. The Cedars is an elegant ban- quet facility located at Our Lady of the Cedars Church in Fairlawn. As the exclusive caterer, Bradley’s Catering can accommodate a variety of events in this space, from bridal showers to weddings.
